Fun in Black & White: Collab w/ Tarana from SheSlays.com

Sometimes you "meet" people online who you just instantly click with. Their personality shines through their every post and every picture. And then, it happens. You get the opportunity to actually meet the person face-to-face and the meeting ends up being a complete disaster when the person is actually quite the opposite of their online persona. Well, that DID NOT happen when Tarana Burke, the uber stylish and bad blogger chick behind one of my favorite fashion blogs, SheSlays.com, and I connected on her most recent trip to Atlanta. We had a blast and even have the pictures to prove it!

Tarana and I first "met" on Instagram where we both admired each other's fashion sense. She was so very complimentary of my style and I loved how she added a certain sense of edge and funkiness to her classic style. I found myself saying "Yes, She Slays" every time she posted a new style picture. Then we connected over Facebook, realizing we had a couple of mutual friends in common, and we got to know each other a little better over posts about current events, pop culture and all around tom foolery! We decided to meet up for a photo shoot on her next trip to Atlanta and well, the rest is fashion history. Ha!

If you are a fan, follower or friend of my blog and social media accounts, then you already know how much I love a black and white ensemble. It's arguably the most classic, and timeless pairing in all thing fashion. So when Tarana and I were trying to decide what to wear in our first collaboration, the striking combination of ebony and ivory seemed perfect! Unbeknownst to the other, we both added a pop of color to our ensembles with our shoes.

Outfit Details:
Top: Asos (Here -- sold out)
Skirt: eShakti (Similar Here)

Shoes: Jessica Simpson (Similar Here)

I love these photos because they truly capture all the fun we had together. Please stop by SheSlays.com for details on Tarana's look. My outfit details are below. As always, I hope you enjoyed this post and our looks just as much as we enjoyed our time together.

Until next time .....

Love,

    1. Thanks!!! And we had no idea what the other was wearing, other than a black and white ensemble.
