Simplistically Stylish

Oftentimes less is more, and in clothing, simplicity can sometimes be your best friend. The "All Black Everything" look I'm wearing here is all about keeping it simple with classic lines and silhouettes, yet adding essential elements and bold statement pieces that increase the style level and help to avoid that boring one-dimensional look.

Wearing all black has several pros, including being very slimming and forgiving. Black so easily hides the lumps and bumps that we sometimes wish we didn't have to deal with. And if done right, you can look pretty darn BADASS in an all black ensemble.

One of my favorite style icons, Coco Chanel, the inventor of the Little Black Dress phenomenon, said "Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. ... [Its] beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony." I couldn't agree more.

I paired this perfect sleeveless and deep v-neck peplum top from ASOS with skinny jeans (here) from H&M. I added this wide metallic plate belt from Torrid (here) around the waist, and my favorite black red bottom platform pumps.

I paired it was a gold and black necklace, and my favorite animal print cuff by Tory Burch. The statement piece is the gold leather fringe clutch bag by Egotistic Egotism. If you recall, I have this same bag in denim and featured it here on the blog.
