Fashion Bombshell of the Day!

I've been a huge fan of the ultra-stylish fashion goddess that is Claire Sulmers for years. She could easily be the fifth Girlfriend to the fabulous Joan, Toni, Mia and Lynn. So imagine the excitement I experienced when I popped up as the Fashion Bombshell of the Day (click the link to see my feature) on FashionBombDaily.com on Tuesday, November 17.



The Fashion Bomb Daily was created in August 2006 by Claire, who serves as Editor-In-Chief, to specifically highlight the style and trends of women and celebrities of color. It's become the "Fashion Bible" for many fashion forward African-American women, including ME! I generally go on to the site daily, and if I don't, I find myself playing catch up on Sunday nights. It's become kind of a ritual for me in fact.


I submitted my photos for Fashion Bombshell of the Day consideration on a whim. After hitting send, the butterflies in my stomach started fluttering. Did I submit my best looks? Did I submit a good variety of looks? Would Claire even like what I sent? Would FBD even feature my pictures, and if so, would the readers be kind? Y'all know the FBD readers can give it straight with no chaser. Well, I made the cut and the comments have been very supportive!

This is definitely yet another major highlight in my short blogging career. NikkiFreeStyle is only 9 months old and because of it, I've already been featured on the cover of Redbook Magazine and now Fashion Bomb Daily. I'd say I'm on one helluva roll and am thoroughly enjoying the ride. Stay tuned for some great things to come from me and NikkiFreeStyle.
